Is there a membership fee to join this
group?
-There is no membership fee, all of our events are open
to any women who would like to participate in them. We have events for many
different interests, with different price points to be inclusive as everyone
needs “me time”!
How do I register/pay?
-Once you’ve found an
event that you would like to participate in simply complete the two simple steps
to registration. Please note, you will not be registered in an event until both
steps have been completed and payment is received.
STEP ONE:
REGISTRATION: Complete the registration form for the event, it is important
to include a current e-mail address as this will be our main way of contacting
you and providing any additional necessary details. When you’ve completed the
form hit the “SUBMIT” button to take you to step two.
STEP TWO:
PAYMENT: You should now be at a screen with a drop down box. Select the
event you wish to pay for and click “Pay Now”. This will take you to the paypal
website where you have the option of paying by credit card, bank account or from
a balance in your paypal account.
I would like to give a night out as a gift, how do I do
this?
-A Gift Certificate is a great gift idea for a night out,
or weekend away for a special woman in your life. By the middle of April you
will have the option to purchase Gift Certificates online through our website.
In the meantime feel free to register and pay for an event, and in the
“Questions/Comment” box on the registration form please let us know that it is a
gift, if it is a surprise and your contact information. If it is for a special
celebration we would be happy to make it extra special for them.
How often do you post new events?
-New events
are constantly being added as they are organized. If you would like e-mail
notification when new events are posted please contact us, otherwise check back
regularly so you don’t miss out on the events that book up quickly.
I don’t drive, how do I get to an event?
-It is
your responsibility to arrange transportation to and from the events. A number
of participants don’t drive, and have found that carpooling with a friend or
taking transit are great options as most of our events are located on main
roads. For public transit information in Calgary please head to http://www.calgarytransit.com/
If an event is out of town on
occasion we do arrange for carpooling from a central meeting location.
How old are the women who participate in the
events?
-All women over the age of 18 are welcome at any event
(if you wish to bring someone younger to a specific event please contact us).
The average age range seems to be between 25-50 years old but we’ve had younger
participants, as well as older. On a number of occasions, Mothers or Grandmas
have come along for the fun and are very welcome!
There are some activities
that require a higher level of fitness (such as Canoeing, Hula Hooping, Wall
climbing etc.) in these cases please register only if you feel comfortable with
your own ability to enjoy the activity without injury.
What is your cancellation Policy?
-Our
cancellation policy is addressed in our Terms and
Conditions as follows:
1) Refunds will not be given to those withdrawing
after registration has been completed for a GirlTalk event (contact us if special circumstances
apply). Should you need to withdraw from an event you will be required to find a
participant to take your place, or forfeit your full payment (please contact us if special circumstances
apply, this remains at the full discretion of GirlTalk and will be subject to a
$10 administration fee).
2) GirlTalk events will provide a full refund should
a scheduled event be moved or canceled.
3) Payment must be made at the time
of registration or your placement will be given up to the next interested
registrant.
I would like help planning a Stagette, can you help?
-Feel free to contact
us should you require assistance in planning events or fundraisers, we look
at each situation individually and come up with a plan/cost that works for all
parties involved.
I have some ideas, how do I share them?
-We are
always looking for new ideas, so if you come across something that would make a
fun event for Ladies, or offer a service that we may be interested in please contact us by e-mail.
